The RTTI was built in partnership with the Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). 

The RTTI is located at the Rwanda Polytechnic Headquarters (RP) in Kicukiro District. 

The RTTI has a multipurpose hall, group discussion rooms, a library, and a computer laboratory. 

The RTTI’s purpose is to equip TVET trainers with the skills and knowledge needed to improve the quality of TVET delivery.
