Applicants at Rwanda Polytechnic must meet the following minimum  entry requirements:
1. Having completed  senior 6 for applicants from general education and Level 5 for applicants from  TVET with a completion certificate.

For international applicants, an equivalence from competent authority(currently National Examination and School Inspection Authority, NESA) for  the above qualifications is mandatory.

2. Have At least two relevant principal passes in core modules/subjects related to the  programs an applicant wish to apply for at RP
3. A copy of a National ID or a valid passport for international applicants
4. A valid accessible email and password.

For advanced Diploma holders  who wish to pursue Bachelors of Technology B-TECH, academic transcripts and certificates/degrees are needed instead of Advanced level/Level 5 certificates

Key facts about Registration for RP students

  1. Registration is done online by a student himself  via RP MIS prior to the beginning of the first semester of each academic year ie all students who wish to study at Rwanda Polytechnic in the new academic year must register via RP MIS in the designed registration period.
  2. For freshers, the following documents must be provided during registration process:
  • One certified copy of the National Assessment Certificate or equivalent certificate,
  • Copy of national identity card  for nationals or valid passport for foreign students,
  • One colored recent standard passport size photograph,
  • Payment of registration fees,
  • A copy of a residence permits for the ongoing academic year for foreign students.

All the above documents used for online registration should be submitted in hard copies within one week after the start of the academic year to the  Directorate of academic services office at the respective college.

  1. All students are required to present at the campus their respective proof of registration as non-registered students are not permitted to attend lectures.
