Sales Promotion OfficerBackground Tourism is a very important field; it embodies all the activities and services undertaken by tourists towards their destinations. In Rwanda, the most important destinations are natural sites such as National parks, lakes, caves, etc. Tourism contributes greatly to the national Gross Domestic Product. A great gap in terms of tour guiding and interpretation of natural, historical and cultural resources are very remarkable in the Albertine Rift Region.This makes tourists not enjoy entirely the beauty and the spirit of the landscape. As a solution, in 2014-2015, RP - KITABI college opened a Department of Tourism

Rwanda is endowed with rich biological diversity comprised of a great diversity of plants, animals and habitats, which make our country unique. Biodiversity is the foundation of human well-being and a big percentage of Rwandans depends on goods and services provided by the ecosystems. The Government of Rwanda is committed to the conservation and sustainable utilization of biodiversity for the prosperity of its people and the nation.

National forest resources are limited in nature; their sustainable utilization deserves steady follow up and continuous update underlying policies and strategies in the changing local and global environment. Rwanda acknowledges the invaluable role of the forestry sector in the livelihoods of the population especially by providing multiple products and services that can be grouped into the following three categories: (1)Timber forest products (TFP) such as fuelwood, timber, pulpwood, etc.; (2) Non-timber forest products (NTFP) such as essential oils, gums, drugs, tannins, resins, honey, etc
